Research Interests: 
Nanobiotechnology, Molecular Cell Biology, RNA Biology.

As a molecular biologist, my recent interests focus on applying molecular, cellular, and nanobiology approaches to understand and control of the nano/bio and bio/bio interfaces for unveiling the biological effects of various nanomaterials and the development of their bio-applications. In particular, we engineered various functionalized nanomaterials and discovered their selective interactions with proteins (immune factors and enzymes, reported by Nanowerk) and cells (bacterial cells and immune cells). We further unveiled the mechanisms underneath, based on which we developed novel applications of such nanomaterials in enzyme engineering, microbial engineering, antibacterial agents, and cancer immunotherapy.
