Main contributions and projects:

Dr. Liang Zhang has been working on the energy storage materials and synchrotron radiation, including (1) high-energy and high-power secondary batteries (Li-ion batteries, Na-ion batteries, Li-S battereis, Na-S batteries); (2) application of in-situ/operando X-ray spectroscopy (XAS/XES/RIXS/XPS); and (3) the development of new in situ/operando synchrotron radiation-based spectroscopy and microscopy methods and their applications in energy storage and conversion materials. He has published ~70 papers in the journals of Science, Nature Catalysis, Nano Lett., J. Am. Chem. Soc., ACS Nano, Nano Energy, Phys. Rev. B, and Appl. Phys. Lett. etc.
